Hara Mircha (Green Chilli)
Green chillis are the best kitchen ingredient to bring a dash of spiciness to recipes. The fresh flavour and sharp bite makes them a must in almost all Indian dishes. This particular green chilli variety is big.
Wash and dry them. Gently pull out the top stem. Throw out the spoilt ones as the famous saying goes- "one rotten spoils the whole pack", in this context quite literally. Keep them in a container and refrigerate.
Chillies have a wide variety of uses since it is a popular spice and seasoning. Can even be powdered to flavour the food. Used to prepare chutneys and other snacks.
Rich in dietary fiber. So, it eases digestion. Protects against cancer and stimulates the cooling center of the brain by lowering the body temperature. This is the reason why in a hot place like India, chillies are consumed alot. It also possesses anti-bacterial properties.
